The Certificate in Banking & Finance (CBF) is an entry-level qualification tailored for individuals aspiring to build a career in banking and financial services. This study program is recommended for candidates meeting one of the following criteria:

Local Qualifications:

  • Six (06) ‘S’ passes in compulsory subjects in GCE O/L (local) with a Credit pass in Mathematics.

Equivalent Foreign Qualifications:

  • Pearson Edexcel International GCSE with a Credit pass in Mathematics.
  • Cambridge IGCSE with a Credit pass in Mathematics.

Vocational Qualifications:

  • NVQ Level 03 qualification in Banking & Finance or Management Disciplines (subject to IBSL approval).

Other Qualifications:

  • Any other qualification acceptable to IBSL.

What is the Certificate in Banking & Finance (CBF)?

To enroll, you need one of the following qualifications:

  • Six (06) ‘S’ passes in GCE O/L (local) with a Credit pass in Mathematics.

  • Introduction to Banking & Finance Environment (IBFE)
  • Introduction to Economics & Business Environment (IEBE)

The CBF program is designed to be completed in 6 months.

The program includes:

  • Mid-term Exam: 40% of the total grade.
  • Final Exam: 60% of the total grade.
    To pass, students must score at least 50% in both assessments.
