Diploma in Information & Communication Technology - NVQ Level 05

• The National Diploma in Information & Communication Technology (NVQ Level 05) is a highly structured, competency-based curriculum accredited by the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission (TVEC) in Sri Lanka.
• It is designed to bridge the gap between foundational IT skills and managerial-level execution, focusing heavily on software development, network administration, and workplace employability.

Program Structure

• Duration: Typically 1.5 Years (1 Year of academic/institutional study split into 2 semesters, followed by 6 months of mandatory On-the-Job Training (OJT)).

• Aims: To produce specialists who do not just maintain systems, but analyze, design, code, test, and manage software, networks, and databases.

• Pathway: Serves as the standard prerequisite to progress to NVQ Level 06 (Higher National Diploma) and Level 07 (B.Tech Degree).
