AAT - Association of Accounting Technicians of Sri Lanka

The Association of Accounting Technicians of Sri Lanka (AAT Sri Lanka) is a world-class professional qualification designed to produce skilled accounting professionals.

Special Fast-Track Pathway: A major advantage of this qualification is the direct entry pathway to a University Degree. Upon successful completion of AAT, students can enter directly into the 2nd year of selected Business or Accounting degree programs, allowing them to complete a full Bachelor’s degree in just 2 years instead of 4.

The curriculum is divided into three comprehensive levels, ensuring a smooth transition from foundation to advanced professional skills.

• Level 01:

  • FAC 1901: Financial Accounting

  • BMS 1902: Business Mathematics & Statistics

  • ECN 1603: Economics

  • BEN 1604: Business Environment

• Level 02:

  • FCA 2801: Financial & Cost Accounting

  • DTI 2802: Digital Transformation & Information Systems

  • BLA 2803: Business Law

  • BMA 2804: Business Management

• Level 03:

  • FAR 3801: Financial Reporting

  • MAF 3802: Management Accounting & Finance

  • RCA 3803: Risk, Controls & Audit

  • CPT 3804: Corporate & Personal Taxation

• Additional Skills:

  • BC 305: Business Communication

  • People & Leadership Skills [PLS]

• Minimum 06 passes at G.C.E. (O/L) including Mathematics and English.

• OR G.C.E. (A/L) in any stream.

• OR Any other equivalent qualification recognized by AAT Sri Lanka.

• Immediate Employment: Accounts Executive, Audit Assistant, Tax Associate, or Finance Officer.

• Professional Progression: Substantial exemptions for CA Sri Lanka, CIMA (UK), and ACCA (UK).

• Academic Progression: Fast-track route to a University Degree (Complete in 2 years).
